Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy visited Dehradun for 3 match tour from 8 August to 16 August 2005.

Matchday 1-10 August: Sports College Dehradun 2-0 MBSFA

Sports College Dehradun defeated Mohun Bagan- SAIL Academy( MBSFA) by 2-0 in first game of MBSFA tour of Dehradun. Second half goals from Sarvan Kumar and Routela led the hosts to a comfortable win over the Academy side. Second highest scorer for MBSFA in Trades cup Lalhimthara and Routela were awarded joint man of the match.

Matchday 2-12 August: MBSFA 1-0 Sports College Dehradun

Mohun Bagan-SAIL Football Academy (MBSFA) defeated Sports College Dehradun by 1-0 in the second match of MBSFA tour of Dehradun. The all important winner came in 59 minute of the game from striker Lalhimthara. Brighukesh Rabha of MBSFA and Saurav Rawat of Sports College were awarded joint man of the match. Speaking to soccernetindia, MBSFA coach Bhupinder Singh Rawat said, " It was a close game which was played at good speed and level. The tour has been good experience for our team as we gear up for national level tournaments". Rawat informed MBSFA will be participating in this edition of Durand Cup.

Matchday 3-15 August: DFA U-18 2-1 MBSFA

Crippled by the absence of their star striker Lalhlimthara, the Mohun Bagan SAIL Football Academy (MBSFA) lost to District Football Association (U-18) XI [ DFA XI] by 2-1 here on 15 August. Playing the last match of the tour to Dehradun, the Mohun Bagan Academy drew the first blood on the 15th minute of the game through a fine goal by Lal Chanchuaha. The DFA XI bounced back with an excellent goal by Deepak Bhoj in the 20th minute of the first half. Nitin Gurung scored a beauty in the 75th minute of the game to make the score 2-1 for the local side. The DFA XI was coached by former Indian international and East Bengal player C.B. Thapa. Braving rain a large number of football lovers gathered at the Pavilion Ground to watch the final match of the Mohuna Bagan Academy.Describing the tour a learning experience Bhupender Rawat, Coach of MBSFA, said, "We were very impressed by the performance of the young teams of Dehradun. The Dehradun Sports College boys were simply outstanding and we will be inviting some seven players from the city for trials in Durgapur in April next year."
